About Call Pick-up
Call Pick-up allows users to answer a ringing line other than their own.
The feature is broken down into three distinct sections:
Call Pick-up Group –
This feature allows users to answer the incoming calls of all colleagues within their designated Call Pick-up group. If more than one line in the group is ringing, the call that has been ringing the longest is answered first.
Directed Call Pick-up without Barge-in –
This feature allows users to pick up any incoming calls at the enterprise level. Administrators can view these settings at the user level (but not at the group level) to see if the feature has been assigned to a user.
Directed Call Pick-up with Barge-in –
This feature allows users to pick up any incoming calls at the enterprise level. It also allows any user to join active calls. Administrators can determine if the barge-in action generates an advisory tone to callers already on the line.
